Mai Tai

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. dark rum

  • 1 oz. light rum

  • 1 oz. triple sec

  • ½ oz. orange curacao

  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice (juice of 1 lime usually)

  • 1 oz. simple syrup (recipe below)

 

    Instructions

    Fill your shaker ½ full of ice.  Add all ingredients to shaker and shake well to combine.  Fill your glass of choice with ice or add a large ice cube (I like our Flexipat Sphere Tray to make my large ice cubes) Pour your Mai Tai into a glass.  Feel free to double this recipe and share with a friend.

    Simple Syrup:

    • 1 cup water
    • 1 cup granulated sugar

    You will want to make this ahead of time so it’s cold when you are ready to use.  You can make this simple syrup ahead of time and keep in your refrigerator for up to two months.

    Place the water in a medium saucepan over medium/high heat. Bring the water to a low boil.   Add the sugar and stir consistently until the sugar dissolves.  Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature before transferring to a container to store in your refrigerator.
