Gingerbread Waffles

Course Breakfast


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup butter melted


  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Place the Flexipat® Waffle Tray on a Perforated Baking Sheet.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until thick and foamy. Stir in the milk and molasses. Add liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until well-combined. Add the melted butter and gently stir in.
  • Scoop about a ¼ cup of batter into each waffle well. Spread out in well so that the mold is just barely covered.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.


*Garnish waffles with a simple glaze (1 c. powdered sugar with 2 Tbsp. Milk) and powdered sugar. Serve with a side of maple syrup.
