Microwave Mashed Potatoes

Course Side Dish


  • 2-3 lbs golden potatoes
  • 1-4 tbsp butter
  • FRENCH PANTRY Salt of Choice
  • FRENCH PANTRY Pepper of Choice


  • Place Forteez Large Round Mold on microwave safe plate.
  • Add washed whole potatoes (I do not peel my potatoes but you can if you do not want the peel) to the Large Round Mold and cover with the Octagonal Bonmat so that there are no gaps between the Bonmat and the Mold.  Microwave on high for 10 minutes. 
  • Carefully remove the mold from your microwave and lift the Octagonal Bonmat away from you (being very careful as the steam inside will be very hot) to release the steam. 
  • Make sure the potatoes are fork tender so you can easily mash them.  If they need more time, return them to the microwave for 2 minutes.  Once the potatoes are tender, you can easily mash them using our Masher. 
  • Add desired amount of butter and stir to melt and combine.  Add Salt and Pepper of choice to season.  Keep covered with the Octagonal Bonmat to keep warm until you are ready to serve.
