No Bake Protein Bars

Course Breakfast

  • 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter, or your favorite nut butter (or a combo of both)
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/3 cup honey, agave, or real maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed or chia seeds
  • 1 cup protein powder of choice (I like Optimum Nutrition's Vanilla Ice Cream flavor 100%Whey Protein)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup mix-in options: chopped dates, chopped apricots, chopped craisins, mini chocolate chips, sweetened or unsweetened coconut flakes, nuts, sunflower seeds, pepitas, etc.
  • Pinch of salt

  • Place your FORTEEZ Mini Loaf Tray (or Tray or Mold of choice) on Perforated Baking Sheet and set aside.
  • In your Stainless Mixing Bowl, mix all ingredients with a Heat-Resistant Spatula until well combined. The mixture should be fairly soft and not dry and crumbly. If needed, add a splash of water or milk or an extra drizzle of honey to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Portion the mixture into the wells of the Tray and press down firmly.
  • Freeze for a few hours or overnight. Since the mixture is soft, it doesn’t freeze all the way and still stays chewy.
  • Unmold the bars from the Tray and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Or freeze them in an airtight container.

Bon TIP: Get creative with the mix-in options to find your favorite combinations! If adding nuts, use the Eco-Chop to chop them into small pieces.
